In the wake of the COVID-19 virus pandemic, myself and all of the doctors at Andersen Eye Associates feel it is important for Andersen Eye to continue critical eye care for the members of our community. As hospitals and emergency rooms face the risk of being overwhelmed with patients, it is important that we are open to provide urgent ophthalmic care to prevent these cases from bogging down those hospital based lifesaving services.
We will continue to treat patients whose vision may be compromised if care is withheld for an extended period of time. However, in order to preserve essential supplies and comply with social distancing we are suspending all routine and elective services until Monday April 6th when we will re-assess the situation. This includes all elective surgeries and routine medical and vision exams as well as optical, prosthetic and audiology services.
We remain committed to providing quality care and servicing the members of our community. We will continue to follow the recommendations from the CDC and the MDHHS in response to COVID-19.
